The Different Types of Mesothelioma


The disease is just beginning to emerge in recent years, mesothelioma is a cancer that usually appears in the form of malignant tumors and resulted in and around the vital organs of the body.Meaning of the word mesothelioma is literally cancer mesothelium (OMA is the medical term for cancer). Mesothelium is lining the pockets and protects the vital organs like the heart and lungs, and it causes a layer of cells become abnormal and fatal.

The symptoms of all types of mesothelioma are usually not seen for several decades after the contraction. This can make the disease difficult to diagnose and too often too late to save the patient from the time of diagnosis.

Pleural mesothelioma: 
The most common form of mesothelioma is pleural mesothelioma. This is when the cancer affects the lungs and the protective layer and the lung cavity. Cancer can begin in the stomach and spread to other parts of the body, but the tumor is pressing the abdominal wall, may cause some or all of the following symptoms: abdominal pain, swelling, nausea, vomiting, respiratory problems, chest pain, bowel obstruction, anemia, fever, and abnormalities of blood clotting.

Pericardial Mesothelioma: 
The last and most rare is the type of mesothelioma pericardial mesothelioma. This is when the cancer affects the heart and the cavity that surrounds the heart. Pericardial mesothelioma affects the patient's tumor may cause some or all of these symptoms: chest pain, shortness of breath, shortness of breath, persistent cough, and palpitations.
